Shelley Fluke
Founder / Owner
Holds a BFA from The University of Central Oklahoma and an MFA in design from The University of Oklahoma. She previously taught drawing, illustration, and graphic design at both universities. She currently teaches with the Southwest School of Art and Craft. Shelley has worked as an illustrator for 20 years and her client list includes: Florida Citrus, Pillsbury, Texaco, OKC Zoo and Sun Cards. Some of her awards are first place honors at the Addy Awards, first place at Graphex, and a feature in the international publication PRINT magazine. Shelley is a four-time winner of the Fiesta San Antonio Poster Competition for the years 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2010. Shelley is the owner and founder of My Art Starz and has been teaching art to children since 1995.

Suzy Brooks received a BA in elementary education along with a certification as a teacher in the states of Oklahoma and Texas. She also has certification in language arts and early childhood development. She taught gifted and talented children in Oklahoma, before moving to Texas. She Currently serves as art teacher for Bright Beginnings and St. Mary’s Hall, as well as My Art Starz. In her free time, she is a professional cake decorator.
